The Ahava Papercut Ketubah by Ardyn Halter is a creation of exquisite delicacy and refinement. An actual papercut on cream art paper, above the text is the Hebrew word "Ahava" (love). Flanking and below the text is a Star of David pattern in fine papercut filigree, itself surrounded by a second border of floral vine culminating in two small rectangles of roses. The next border out contains large sections of The Seven Species: Fig, Wheat, Barley, Palm, Olive, Vine, and Pomegranate. The Seven Species reflect the seven blessings over the bride from the wedding ceremony under the Huppah. They symbolize growth, fecundity and a connection to the real qualities of life. A Jewish tradition links the Seven Species to the seven attributes of life as they appear in the Book of the Zohar: Eternity; Spleandour; Essence; Kingdom; Glory; Kindness and Wisdom. The central pomegranate tree is capped with the embracing line from The Song of Songs: I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.

This ketubah is available with your choice of the following color backing papers: Slate Blue, Nepalese Dark Beige, Fawn Gold, or Terracota Red.

All texts are in Aramaic or Hebrew with English unless otherwise specified. Custom text should be entered in the personalization form. After placing your order, please fill out the Ketubah Personalization Form by clicking here.
