The stunning watercolor skill of the artist is evident in this delicate image inspired by the opulence of amethyst. Amethyst is one of the twelve precious gems used in the breastplate of the high priest (Exodus 28:19 and 39:12). The special diamond, holographic silver foil shines and shimmers in varied, subtle colors as would actual jewels.
