Inspired by the architecture of the caravansary* in the ancient city of Acre, Israel, one of the oldest continuously inhabited sites in the Middle East. Additionally, there are scenes of Jerusalem carved into the front panels. Matte stone glaze. Each item is individually hand-crafted, using a fine white stoneware clay and glazed. Glaze varies with and within each piece. Each piece is fired to 2200 F, making it durable, safe and functional. Handmade by artists Renee & Howard Vichinsky. *Definition of caravansary: 1.
