JPS Tanakh: The Holy Scriptures

This tanakh from the Jewish Publication Society is available in a standard hardcover blue cloth or a convenient paperback pocket size. This book is an entirely original translation of the Holy Scriptures into contemporary English, based on the Masoretic text, or the traditional Hebrew. It is the culmination of three decades of collaboration by academic scholars and rabbis, representing the three largest branches of organized Judaism in the United States.
