The ram’s horn shofar is the most classic and authentic shofar used on the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The traditional ram’s horn shofar is generally varied shades of brown, though they can be other hues of tan and black as well. These shofars are generally half- polished, but can also be fully polished, natural, hand-painted, or even adorned in silver.
