In this limited edition serigraph Baruch Greenbaum depicts the view from the Dung Gate of Jerusalem. The perspective and the vividness of colour serves to highlight the vibrancy of the biblical tradition. The dissonance between the contemporary style and traditional theme illustrates the interplay between secular societal trends and the upkeep of traditional Judaic culture. This juxtaposition is furthered by the modern dress of the crowd, and contrasted against the ancient architecture. The serigraph is printed on paper and signed by the artist at the bottom of the print.
