In the Bible the pomegranate is mentioned as one of the seven species and symbolic of Israel's fertile land. The seeds of the pomegranate have many interpretations. According to the Midrash, there are 613 seeds within the pomegranate and each of these seeds represent one of the 613 mitzvot mentioned in the torah. In the Song of Songs, the pomegranate's red color represents love, sensuality, passion and the seeds are a symbol of fertility. The images on the menorah are sandblasted and the beveled glass creates magnificent reflections catching either artificial or natural sunlight.
