This biblical passage ( Proverbs 31:10-31 ) is traditionally sung by a husband to his wife on Friday night. This illumination in the Italianate style has a new English translation written by the artist and her husband. The grapes signify the Kiddush, blessing over wine, as the start of Shabbat is sanctified. The art is finished in a gold frame.
