The Magen David, six pointed Star of David, is the recognized universal symbol of Judaism. The earliest use of this hexagram was as a seal in ancient Palestine, 6th century B.C.E. Today this symbol is used as an amulet of good luck and as a secularized symbol of Jewish identity. Variations of the traditional Star of David seem to create a festive mood for the holiday of Hanukkah. The images on the menorah are sandblasted and the beveled glass creates magnificent reflections catching either artificial or natural sunlight.
