The design for this ketubah dates back to 1794 and comes from San'a, Yemen. The text is surrounded by flowering vines painted with vibrant reds, blues and greens set off by the warm background. There is a lot of movement in this pattern, highlighted by the arabesque arch surrounding the word ketubah, written in Hebrew at the top.
