The hamsa is a hand shaped amulet worn to ward off the Evil Eye. This hand amulet, representing the protective hand of God, is common among Sephardic Jews in Israel and has become prevalent among Western Jews as well. The images on the menorah are sandblasted and the beveled glass creates magnificent reflections catching either artifical or natural sunlight.
