Living Time: Festival Discourses for the Present Age

Living Time offers the English-speaking public an opportunity to meet a different facet of Rabbi Shagar’s thought: his efforts to breathe new life into the experience of the Jewish holidays. By creating a unique type of sermon - one that combines hasidic and philosophic ideas into the discussion of each holidays texts, mitzvot, and customs - Rabbi Shagar seeks to open us to the holidays “light and color,” and to integrate deep and complex ideas into our experience of the Hebrew calendar.
