White Dancer

In this limited edition serigraph, Hedva Firenci depicts a ballet dancer dressed in white. The impressionistic style and balletic theme is vaguely reminiscent of notable French artist Edgar Degas. The lack of facial detailing, as well as the use of perspective puts the focus on the young woman's movement. Her gaze is cast downward, as she focuses on the pointe of her foot. The use of the muted white, creates a contrast, alluding to the central tenant of ballet, muscular opposition. The serigraph is printed on paper and signed by the artist in the bottom right corner.
